Finding a brand voice that travels

People recognise voice before they see your logo
Voice is the thing audiences feel before they consciously notice the brand. Define it tightly enough that anyone on the team can write it and it still sounds like you.
A voice that only the founder can write isn’t a voice — it’s a bottleneck. Document it with real examples of what you would and wouldn’t say.
Make it portable
The test of a strong voice is whether it survives handoff. If a new writer can pick it up in a day and the audience can’t tell, you’ve built something that travels.
